DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE EVENT:\nThis is a special day created just for Cornerstone VNA team members to enjoy fresh air, connect with colleagues, and experience the wellness benefits of time outside with dogs.\nWe’ll start our adventure at the Little Harbor Loop Trail in Portsmouth, NH. This easy 1.5–2 mile outing offers a beautiful mix of open fields, shady forest paths, and coastal views. We’ll move at a relaxed pace, giving dogs and their people time to explore, settle in, and enjoy being together in a supportive group environment.\nAt low tide, Sagamore Creek should reveal a wide, open stretch of shoreline where dogs can safely explore, splash, and swim. Please bring a long lead and water shoes so your dog can enjoy the tidal pools, soft shoreline, and coastal smells while staying safe and connected to you.\nAfter our walk, we’ll head to Lago’s Ice Cream in Rye, NH, just a short 5-mile drive from the trail. Lago’s has a grassy outdoor space with picnic tables where we can relax, enjoy ice cream, and continue connecting. Please note: Lago’s is cash only, so be sure to bring cash if you plan to purchase ice cream.\nThis outing is also a chance to help dogs and people feel more comfortable navigating public spaces together. With the support of Golden Dog, you’ll learn how to create space when needed, recognize what your dog is communicating, and advocate for them with more confidence around other people, dogs, and activity.\nWhat to Expect\n\nA relaxed 1.5–2 mile trail walk\nOpen fields, wooded paths, and coastal views\nLow-tide shoreline exploration at Sagamore Creek\nOpportunities for dogs to splash, sniff, and explore\nSupport from Golden Dog in helping you navigate the environment with your dog\nA casual post-walk social at Lago’s Ice Cream\n\nIS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?\nReactive Dog Level 2-3. See our Comfort Chart\n                            \n                         for explanation. These trails can be busy on weekends. They are mostly wide and flat allowing lots of space for dogs who need it. There is also additional room to pull off the trail in many areas and allow other dogs and their handlers to pass. Lago’s has a wide open outside area with picnic tables spread out for private seating. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.\nTRAIL RATING:\nLittle Harbor Loop Trail is rated as Level 1.5 Moderate. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System.\nCOST: Please register for this event below. Tickets are limited to 15 CVNA team members.\n\nCVNA Team Members – N/C\nThis is a private event and not open to other Golden Dog Members\n\nCVNA Team Members, if you register and cannot attend, please cancel within 48 hours to allow others on the the waitlist a chance to attend. Thank you!\nDIRECTIONS/PARKING:\nThe Little Harbor Trail is located at 400 Little Harbor Road, Portsmouth, NH. Watch for the small sign for the trail and a larger sign that says Creek Farm Reservation. Your GPS may try to take you past the entrance. Once you turn at the Creek Farm Reservation sign, drive almost to the end where you will see an open area and large parking lot. There is also a porta potty at this location.\nLago’s Ice Cream is located at 71 Lafayette Rd., Rye, NH.
