Last year’s Paw-rate Cruise was a blast, and we can’t wait to set sail again with our Golden Dog community!\nClimb aboard Big Rock, Al Gauron’s spacious vessel, for a private, dog-friendly 2-hour cruise along the Merrimack River and harbor. Enjoy beautiful views, fresh sea air, good company, and plenty of paw-rate fun.\nIn celebration of International Pirate Month (which is actually in August – but that month is too hot), we’ll once again host our Pirate Costume Contest for humans and dogs. Prizes will be awarded for the Best Costumed Human and also the Best Dressed Dog — first, second, and third place for each category. (NOTE: please do not make your dog wear a costume if they are not comfortable with this.)\nBring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks (no glass), or purchase food, snacks, and drinks from the onboard galley. A cash bar will also be available.\nDogs are welcome aboard, but if your pup would be happier at home, come solo and enjoy the adventure with fellow dog lovers.\nIn the past, we have had beautiful weather, lots of laughs, and even a double rainbow. This would not be a comfortable environment for a dog who does not like being around people or dogs or has not experienced a boat ride before. We will be spread out on the boat but there will be a lot going on that your dog may react to. You are more than welcome to attend without your dog if you would like. Please no more than 1 dog/person for maximum happiness and comfort. Please note that retractable leashes as well as aversive training tools such as prong/pinch, choke, bark control, shock, and spray collars are not allowed at our events.\nCANCELLATIONS:\nIf the Captain determines that weather conditions are unfavorable for cruising, the trip will be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend on the new date, you will have the option to receive a credit toward another adventure or a refund to your credit card.
