DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE EVENT:\nLoving a reactive dog can be incredibly rewarding — and it can also be exhausting, frustrating, isolating and sometimes overwhelming. Traci Bisson, owner and founder of the Golden Dog Adventure Co. knows this well.\nJoin us for the September’s Wellness Support Group, as we create a safe space specifically for the people who love and handle reactive dogs.\nThis isn’t a training class or a session about fixing your dog. It’s a supportive conversation about what it is really like to share your life with a dog who may struggle with other dogs, people, unfamiliar environments or everyday situations that others take for granted.\nMaybe you’ve changed where or when you walk. Maybe you’ve skipped events because you knew your dog wouldn’t be comfortable. Maybe you’ve felt embarrassed by a reaction, discouraged by a setback or frustrated when other people simply didn’t understand. And maybe you’ve also celebrated victories that seemed small to everyone else but felt enormous to you.\nThis is a place to talk about all of it.\nTogether, we’ll have an open conversation where reactive dog handlers can:\n\nShare challenges and frustrations without judgment\nCelebrate progress and those important little wins\nTalk about the emotional impact of managing reactivity\nShare experiences, ideas and strategies that have helped\nConnect with people who understand what life with a reactive dog can really look like\nRemember to support their own well-being while supporting their dog\n\nThere is no expectation that you have the answers or that everything is going perfectly. Come as you are, listen if you’d rather listen, share if you’d like to share, and spend time with a community that understands that sometimes the human at the other end of the leash needs support, too.\nPlease note: While sessions are recorded for internal purposes, they are not shared externally to preserve a safe and supportive environment. You will receive the Zoom Room link and additional details via email after registering as well as the day of the event.\nABOUT TRACI BISSON:\nTraci is the founder of Golden Dog Adventure Co. and a wellness coach focused on supporting health and well-being at both ends of the leash. Her own experience living with and learning from a reactive dog helped shape Golden Dog’s commitment to creating safe, supportive and inclusive experiences for dogs and their people. Traci is currently studying with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) to become a Certified Wellness Instructor and is also enrolled in the L.E.G.S.® Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation® Professional Course 2.0 with Total Welfare.
