2024 Closing Ceremony

The 2024 Summer Doggy Olympics concluded in spectacular fashion with the announcement of this year’s winners at the highly anticipated Closing Ceremony which was broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube. The event, hosted by Golden Dog Adventure Co., brought together dog enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate the incredible talents and unbreakable bonds between canine athletes and their handlers.

Over the course of two weeks, 23 canine athletes and their handlers competed in 18 events hosted in 14 cities throughout New Hampshire. In collaboration with 19 partnering organizations, including Woofmeow Family Pet Center, the Gold Bone Sponsor, competitions included everything from agility and parkour to nose work, water fun, ice cream licking, and more. The event was designed to be welcoming, safe, positive, and inclusive, ensuring canine athletes of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments had the opportunity to have fun.

Senior Division:

Nala, a nine-year-old Great Pyrenees and Cattle Dog mix who enjoys squeaky toys and food enrichment puzzles, was awarded an achievement medal in the senior division for her top performances at Fido’s Fun Run, hosted by Paws with Me K9 Enrichment & Training at Canine Connections in Laconia, and Fun Fitness at Canine Strong in Concord.

Lifetime Achievement Award:

A special highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Cody, a senior canine athlete who not only competed in the 2021 Summer Doggy Olympics, but at the age of 10, participated in seven competitions at this years’ games. Cody and his handler Jayme were recognized for their incredible bond and all the fun they had together at the Doggy Olympics.
