Job Title: Event Support Staff – Doggy Easter Egg Hunt
Location: Muddy Road Brewery, New Durham, NH
Date: Saturday, April 19, 2025
Time: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Compensation: $20/hour + $0.25 per mile (or equivalent donation to our charitable partners)
About the Role:
Golden Dog Adventure Co. is looking for 4-5 experienced dog handlers to assist with our Doggy Easter Egg Hunt in collaboration with Muddy Road Brewery. This is a fun, hands-on role perfect for dog lovers who are comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Candidates must be able to recognize and respond to uncomfortable dog body language to help create a safe and positive experience for all participants. Additionally, this role requires a friendly, engaging personality and a willingness to socialize with event attendees while assisting with activities.
Responsibilities:
Event Setup (8:30 AM – 10:30 AM)
- Arrange tables, chairs, and event materials
- Set up activity stations and signage
- Prepare the Easter egg hunt area
- Assist event partners with their setup needs
Event Support (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
- Run mental and physical enrichment activities for dogs (training and supplies provided)
- Monitor dogs and ensure a safe, positive environment
- Recognize and respond appropriately to dogs showing signs of stress or discomfort
- Assist with Easter egg hunt logistics
- Provide a welcoming and engaging experience for participants
Event Takedown (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
- Pack up event materials and assist with cleanup
- Help partners as needed
Egg Stuffing (Flexible, 2 weeks prior to event)
- Fill plastic eggs with dog treats
- Deliver eggs to the Golden Dog office in Barrington, NH
Requirements:
- Experienced dog handler with knowledge of dog body language and behavior
- Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Friendly and engaging personality—this is a social role!
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Willingness to follow event guidelines and safety protocols
