Loaded Question Brewing, Portsmouth, NH

Loaded Question Brewing Co. is a 3-bbl nanobrewery located in the West End neighborhood of Portsmouth. To enter LQB (without your dog), proceed down a long hallway to their door at the back of the building.

If your dog is visiting with you, follow the alley behind the building to access the dog-friendly beer garden patio. See the map at their website for more info. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the beer garden. This gives your dog a few minutes to decompress and relieve themselves before the excitement begins.

Here are the details about this dog-friendly brewery:

  • 📍 GPS: 900 Islington St.
  • 🅿️ Parking: LQB is set back from the road to the right of the Button Factory Studios. Park anywhere in this area and look for their open flag. To enter with your dog, you need to follow the alley behind the building to the beer garden. Dogs are not allowed in the taproom. See map.
  • 🐕 Reactive Dog Rating: Level 3+ depending on the time of day you visit (see our Reactive Dog Comfort Level Chart)
  • ✔️ Restrooms: Dogs can go into the restroom (single room) with you, but you cannot access through the taproom. Proceed back around via the alley and enter through the front door and down the long corridor. Bathrooms are on the left before the taproom door.

The owner and staff are very friendly and welcome dogs to visit. Bring a mat or blanket for your dog to rest on since the beer garden has a rock surface. We also recommend traveling with a partner so someone can stay with the dog while you enter the brewery to order.

We visit this brewery year round since they have a heated deck, barrels that serve as visual barriers, shade sails, and the tables are spread out enough to offer a level of comfort for your dog. A visit here is perfect after a visit to the beach or a hike or drive up Mt. Agamenticus.

Since they have a limited food menu, you are welcome to bring in your own food. There are also a few local pizza places that do deliver to LQB.

Please be aware that if you are visiting with your dog, in the warm months there are rabbits in the grassy area around the beer garden patio. If your dog has a high prey drive, this may not be a comfortable environment for them or you.
