In the winter, on a rainy day, or on a very hot day, the Mall offers a perfect environment for your dog to be enriched both physically and mentally.

The Mall is filled with yummy smells for your dog to engage with. From people to food, children, and other pets, your dog will find this environment a hotbed of deliciousness. In addition, many stores allow you to enter with your dog. Stores are marked with a #dogfriendly sticker in the window. If there is no sticker, just ask. Most will let you visit with your dog.

In addition to walking, the Mall offers an urban-like environment for parkour and agility. You will find benches to jump on, go under, walk across, put paws up on, and weave in between both inside and outside. Please be mindful when asking your dog to do these exercises. They should be wearing a harness with a handle so you can help guide them. Also, the Mall floor can be very slippery. Do not ask your dog to do something that could injure a muscle due to slipping.

There are also so many sights and sounds to expose your dog to. This will help desensitize them to these types of environments. Make sure the experience is positive so that your dog does not become overwhelmed and fearful.

On warm, sunny days, walking around the exterior of the Mall can also be a fun adventure. There are lots of smells and in some places there is a sidewalk. When we visit, if the weather allows, we walk inside and outside with our dogs, exiting and entering different doors to make the visit longer and more exciting.
