According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, today marks the end of the Dog Days of summer. The phrase conjures up the hottest, most sultry days of summer, which are the 40 days beginning July 3 and ending August 11. However, don’t be fooled by the cooler evenings and mornings, mid-day temps are still very toasty.
What is a tick? The tick is part of the arachnid family and therefore more closely related to spiders and scorpions than to fleas. Ticks survive and thrive at extreme temperatures (meaning your dog can get ticks all year round). They live up to a year without feeding, are unaffected by the application of even
