COMMUNITY EVENT: Barkiversary Bash at Canine Connection

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Golden Dog Adventure Co. is excited to collaborate with our Lakes Region partner, Canine Connection, to celebrate their 1-year anniversary with a special community event designed to bring dog lovers together, highlight local pet professionals, and give back to a cause close to our hearts.

This on-leash event, hosted at New Hampshire’s largest indoor dog park, is more than just a party—it’s a chance to explore new experiences, support small businesses, and raise funds for Old Dogs Go To Helen, a New Hampshire–based sanctuary for senior and hospice dogs

As a long-time supporter of Canine Connection’s mission to offer safe, enriching spaces for dogs and their people, Golden Dog is honored to co-host this milestone celebration.

WHAT TO EXPECT: (Partners and activities subject to change – watch for additional vendors coming soon!)

• Tours of Canine Connection’s indoor dog park. Step into their Sniff-abration Zone Scent Space, where pups get to unwrap birthday boxes, explore confetti gardens, and follow cupcake trails in a birthday-themed sniffing adventure! It’s the paw-fect way to celebrate our first year—nose first!
• Paw print painting with Kickin’ Glass (suggested donation)
• Enrichment demos with Pawsitively Hooked on Enrichment
• Training and scent work demos with Doggonit Training
• Pup cup station hosted by 603 Paws (suggested donation)
• Canine fitness equipment and activities with Healthy Pets NH
• Animal communication sessions with Jody Crotty
• Outdoor splash pools and enrichment stations provided by Golden Dog Adventure Co.
• Local products and natural treats from Biddy’s Naturals
• Learn about water and land adventure resources and gear from SUP NH Paddle & Bike Co.
• Ball pit activity and dog walking adventures info from Homeward Bound Dog Walking and Adventure Services, LLC
• CBD wellness education from Clearly Balanced Days

Food/Drink Available for Purchase

• Mountain Mermaid will be serving fresh fruit smoothies.
• The Treat Trolley will be serving a variety of delicious ice creams and treats.
• Joey’s Dog House will be serving gourmet hot dogs with side fixin’s like baked beans, mac n’ cheese, and potato salad.
• A&B Barbecue Food Truck will be serving chicken wings and tenders along with French fries and loaded tater tots. Cupcakes for pups and their people!
• Maeve’s Mobile Cocktail Hour will be serving delicious mocktails for humans and canines.

Raffles and More

• Enter to win exciting prizes while supporting Old Dogs Go To Helen
• Helen St. Pierre, professional dog trainer and author of Old Dog, New Dog: Supporting Your Aging Best Friend and Welcoming a New One, will be in attendance selling and signing copies of her new book.

This is a free event, but registration is required so we can plan accordingly. All dogs must remain leashed, and all attendees will be asked to sign a waiver which will be included with your registration email confirmation.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, education, and heartfelt connection. Whether you’re a loyal supporter or discovering Canine Connection for the first time, this is a unique opportunity to experience what makes this community so special.

This event is rain or shine.

COST:
There is no cost to attend this event but registration is required (see below). We do welcome a donation with ticket reservation – 100% of proceeds benefit Old Dogs Go To Helen. Additional information, including safety instructions and logistics, will be emailed to registered guests 24 hours prior to the event.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING AN EVENT:
For safety reasons, we do not permit retractable leashes or aversive training tools at our events. Before attending this event, please review our Club Guidelines and sign our Liability Waivers & Release Forms.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 3-4. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This event is moderately stimulating and may be suitable for some reactive dogs, depending on their comfort level. It will take place in an open outdoor setting with on-leash requirements, spaced-out activity stations, and room to create distance. Expect excitement, barking, and movement around enrichment areas and splash pools. Early arrival is recommended for a quieter experience. Guardians should bring high-value treats, calming aids, and have an exit plan. Dogs who are highly reactive or easily overwhelmed may be more comfortable sitting this one out.
