ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for the “Intro to Agility” event at the Summer Doggy Olympics, an exciting opportunity for dogs of all skill levels to dive into the world of agility sports. This event is designed to be a fun and engaging introduction to agility training, featuring a course filled with tunnels, jumps, and other obstacles that encourage dogs to leap efficiently and focus on their handlers’ cues. High value treats are recommended.

• Dynamic Course Design: The agility course includes a variety of obstacles such as tunnels and jumps strategically placed to challenge your dog physically and mentally. This setup helps improve coordination, increases stamina, and sharpens focus.
• Focus on Skill and Bonding: This event emphasizes teaching dogs to jump rather than bounce, ensuring they learn proper techniques for agility sports. Handlers are encouraged to actively guide their dogs through the course, enhancing communication and strengthening the bond between dog and handler.
• Cardio and Cognitive Challenge: Agility is a fantastic cardio workout for dogs, requiring them to sprint, dodge, and jump, all while paying close attention to commands. It’s an excellent exercise for both the body and mind, fostering physical fitness and mental alertness.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. For this competition, your dog will be participating with a small group (5) of canine athletes in a large open area. If decompression time is needed, there is a separate room you can escape to as well as an exit to behind the building and a grassy area.
