ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for an adventure at the Doggy Olympics with our Intro to Parkour Competition hosted by Red Pointy Dog Training. This event is designed to challenge your dog’s agility and creativity while ensuring a fun and safe environment. Whether you’re new to dog parkour or looking to showcase your dog’s skills, this competition offers an exciting platform for all.

• Biggest, Longest, Most Creative: This competition is set to be our most expansive yet, featuring a variety of obstacles tailored to test your dog’s parkour abilities. Points will be awarded not just for completion but for creativity in navigating the course. Participants are encouraged to use different obstacles in unique ways, such as the most varied use of ‘Two Paws’, the Longest ‘Walk It’, the Skinniest ‘4 Paws’, and the lowest ‘Under’.
• Focus on Safety and Bonding: Safety is our top priority. Proper spotting techniques will be demonstrated and required throughout the competition to ensure every participant enjoys a secure experience. Harnesses are mandatory for all dogs to provide support and control as they navigate the course.
• Inclusive for All Abilities: Dogs of all ages and abilities are welcome. The course is designed to be adaptable, allowing modifications for elderly or less agile dogs, ensuring that every canine athlete can participate comfortably and safely.

This parkour event is more than just a competition; it’s an opportunity to strengthen the bond between you and your dog while having loads of fun. It’s also a great chance to learn new skills, meet other dog enthusiasts, and enjoy a day filled with enriching activity and community spirit.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. For this challenge, your dog will be competing alongside other dogs in an outdoor space at the Barrington Town Forest in Barrington. If you dog is uncomfortable around other dogs or people then they may be uncomfortable participating in this event. Your dog’s threshold distance will determine their comfort level with this activity. If your dog needs additional space or consideration, please choose the Reactive Dog Friendly ticket option below.
