DOGGY OLYMPICS: Longest Sit and Stay Competition at Pet Supplies Plus 16

ABOUT THE EVENT:
The “Longest Sit & Stay Competition” is a chance for your pup to compete and be proud of the fact that their ability to sit comfortably and hold that position could win them gold in this year’s Summer Doggy Olympics. You will meet with a team member at Pet Supplies Plus in Somersworth, NH who will time your dog’s sit and record on an official log sheet. Feel free to practice a few sit/stays in this busy environment before a team member records your final time. If your dog can sit/stay for 10 minutes, they will be recorded at that time mark and your session will be completed. You may bring a “place” for your dog to sit/stay, including a mat, towel, blanket or other item to increase your dog’s comfort level. High value treats are encouraged.

JUDGING CRITERIA: You and your dog will be judged on the following criteria.

1. Sit/Stay Time
2. Dog/Handler Connection
3. Confidence Level

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. For this competition, you will be inside Pet Supplies Plus in Somersworth, NH to have your dog’s sit/stay timed. If your dog is uncomfortable in pet stores with other people/dogs inside, then this would not be a good event for your pup. If your dog needs additional space or consideration, please choose the Reactive Dog Friendly ticket option below.
