DOGGY OLYMPICS: Water Fun Competition

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Dive into a splash of fun with our wet & wild Water Fun Competition hosted by You and Your Dog Training & Services. This series of water-based events is designed to test your dog’s agility, obedience, and teamwork in a cool and exciting way. Whether your furry friend loves to splash around or enjoys a more precise challenge, we have something that will make a splash!

• Kiddy Pool Toy Bobbing: How many toys can your dog retrieve from a kiddy pool in one minute? This fast-paced challenge tests your dog’s quick retrieval skills in a fun and wet environment.
• Kiddy Pool Treat Challenge: Watch as your dog tries to gobble up as many treats as possible from the water in one minute. It’s a test of speed eating and dexterity, all while keeping cool in the pool!
• Water Cup Loose Leash Walking Challenge/Relay: Maintain a loose leash while keeping all the water in your cup as you and your dog navigate a course. In the relay version, teams of two or four will work together, passing the water cup between handlers without spilling. This challenge judges leash control, handler-dog connection, and the ability to stay focused amidst distractions. The goal is to finish with as much water left in the cup as possible.
• Sponge Squeeze Water Relay: Positioned about 25 feet apart are two buckets—one full of water and the other empty with a marked line. Using a large sponge, your goal is to transfer water to fill up the empty bucket to the line as quickly as possible. This event tests speed, coordination, and strategy.
• Timed H2O Cup Fill Stay Challenge: How long can your dog maintain a sit or down stay while you transfer water from one container to another? This challenge tests your dog’s patience and obedience under tricky, distracting conditions.

Each of these challenges provides a unique way to bond with your dog while enjoying the spirited competition of the Doggy Olympics. So, grab a towel, prepare to get wet, and join us for a day of unforgettable fun! Please bring high value treats to encourage your dog during this activity.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2-3. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. For this competition, your dog will be competing alongside other dogs in an outdoor space at You and Your Dog Training & Services in New Boston. If you dog is uncomfortable around other dogs or people moving at a fast pace then they may be uncomfortable participating in this event. Your dog’s threshold distance will determine their comfort level with this activity.
