DOGGY SOCIAL: On-Leash with Trainer Monica Allaire

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join Golden Dog Adventure Co. for a 90-minute, on-leash Doggy Social at the Golden Dog Playground with professional dog training partner Monica Allaire of Barrington Barks and Behavior.

This on-leash, relaxed, trainer-supported social is designed to give dogs and their people a chance to explore, observe, play, and connect in a safe, enriching environment. Dogs will have access to the 1-acre fenced Playground, including enrichment toys, sensory equipment, agility-style features, sniffing opportunities, and space to move at their own pace.

Monica will be on site to help guide the experience, answer questions, and support dogs and handlers as they navigate play, movement, social interaction, body language, and confidence-building. This event is structured as a supportive social experience where you can learn more about your dog while they learn to be comfortable around other dogs and people.

Benefits of attending this trainer-supported event include:

  • Learn more about your dog’s calming signals, comfort level, and communication style
  • Get real-time insight into how your dog responds to new spaces, people, dogs, and enrichment opportunities
  • Build your dog’s confidence in a safe, fenced, supportive environment
  • Ask questions and receive practical guidance from a professional dog trainer
  • Better understand when your dog is enjoying an activity and when they may need a break
  • Practice observing your dog without pressure, comparison, or expectation
  • Help your dog enjoy social time in a way that supports their individual needs
  • Connect with other dog guardians who value kind, thoughtful, welfare-focused experiences

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 1-2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This on-leash event offers a structured, spacious environment for dogs who need more space, are building confidence, or are working around distractions. All dogs will remain on leash with no off-leash interactions, and our training partner will be on site to offer support, answer questions, and help handlers make thoughtful choices around space, movement, and comfort level. Because other dogs and people will be present, handlers should be prepared to monitor their dog’s body language and adjust distance as needed throughout the 90-minute event. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.
