SPECIAL EVENT: Fall Shamanic Journey with Dogs

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for a unique fall experience designed to support grounding, reflection, movement, and connection at both ends of the leash.

Dr. Debra LeClair will guide participants through a beginner-friendly shamanic journey using steady, rhythmic drumming while participants relax, listen, journey, and journal with their dogs nearby.

Before and after the drumming experience, dogs will have opportunities for on-leash movement, exploration, and confidence building using playground equipment and natural parkour stations.

During this 90-minute experience, participants will:

• Explore the energy of the fall season
• Experience guided meditation and rhythmic drumming
• Journal and reflect on the journey
• Explore animal and spiritual symbolism
• Practice calm connection with their dog
• Support canine confidence through gentle movement and exploration

For dogs, this experience offers opportunities to explore, build confidence, practice calm observation, and simply be present without constant activity. For their humans, it creates space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with themselves, nature, spirit, and their dog.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 1-2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This event is best suited for dogs who can settle near their person in an outdoor group setting with space from other dogs. All dogs will remain on leash throughout the experience, making this a great opportunity for dogs to relax, observe, and practice calm connection in a controlled, safe environment. Dogs do not need to be perfectly still or silent, but they should be able to remain safely managed on leash and settle with support from their handler. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.

ABOUT DR. DEBRA LECLAIR:
Debra LeClair, Psy.D., is an author, psychologist, coach, and certified Celtic Shamanic Practitioner. Fascinated by shamanism’s ability to bring clarity, connection, and healing, Debra began her own shamanic work while in graduate school. Drawing from both Native American and Celtic traditions, she now guides individuals and groups through meaningful experiences designed to support insight, reflection, and transformation.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
This event will be held in Barrington, NH. Participants will receive all the details 24 hours prior to the event start time.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and registered participants will receive a email cancellation notice. It will also be announced in the Event section of the Facebook Community Group and on this Calendar page.
