LUNCH & LEARN: Resources for Traveling with Your Dog
ABOUT THE EVENT:
If you are frustrated with “dog-friendly” vacation spots that have breed restrictions, do not allow “reactive” dogs, say they are dog-friendly but then give a laundry list of restrictions, then tune into this Lunch & Learn!
Join Traci live on Thursday, July 20th for an interview with Sara Sokol, owner of Mr. Dog Training located in Bath, ME and Little White Dog Properties, LLC, for a discussion about summer travel with your dog and how to find dog-friendly vacation spots throughout the U.S.
Locating truly dog-friendly places to vacation with your dog can be extremely tricky. A local dog trainer has started a Facebook Group to help solve this problem which now has over 6.5K members. Dogs Welcome is a group dedicated to helping connect humans traveling with their dogs and owners of vacation rental accommodations and lodging throughout North America. These vacation spots don’t just allow dogs but WELCOME them!
We will be streaming live via StreamYard on Facebook and YouTube. Be sure to have your notifications on Facebook set to ALL POSTS.

ABOUT SARA SOKOL:
Sara is the creator of the Dogs Welcome community. She lives in Bath, ME with her dog soulmate, Milo a 15 year old Shih Tzu, and is the owner of Mr. Dog Training, a positive reinforcement dog training facility that has been voted best dog trainer in Maine for the past eight years.
In 2020, Sara purchased a property to use as a short term vacation rental and Little White Dog Properties, LLC. was born.
Being a huge dog lover, Sara knew she wanted to provide a beautiful, clean, and friendly vacation rental where dogs weren’t just tolerated and “allowed” but welcomed with open arms.
In the winter of 2022, she was searching for Facebook groups that were geared towards pet friendly rentals, so that she could market her property and found none. Sara decided to start her own and created the Dogs Welcome Facebook group. The response to the group was overwhelming. At one point, she gained 1200 members in 24 hours. It was at that point that she knew her community would fulfill a huge need.
