LIVE BROADCAST: Special Ask the Veterinarian with Dr. Lisa Boyer – Respiratory Illness Update
ABOUT THE EVENT:
This special session of Ask the Veterinarian with Dr. Lisa Boyer will broadcast live in our Facebook Community, on our Facebook Page, and on our YouTube Channel.
In late June 2022, an illness appeared in southern New Hampshire, originally resembling a condition known as kennel cough and then later showing similarities with pneumonia. Veterinarians around New England, and the country, are alerting dog owners to a rapidly spreading canine respiratory disease, the origin of which has not yet been identified. It has proven to be fatal to several otherwise healthy dogs.
It appears that this disease is spreading through both daycare and long-term boarding facilities as well as casual contact through play. Common symptoms are sneezing, eye discharge, foamy saliva, lack of appetite, fever, and fatigue. If your dog shows any signs of being unwell, please keep them home and away from other dogs and notify your veterinarian.
Join us for an important update on the respiratory illness. Dr. Boyer will answer your questions related to the topic.
