Join us for a one-of-a-kind adventure at Joppa Hill Educational Farm in Bedford, NH. This adventure will be a scenic 2-mile hike through this stunning 312-acre farm that stretches across Amherst and Bedford.

Our journey will take us down historic farm roads, through rolling fields, past lush forests, and to a serene beaver pond—the perfect setting for an afternoon of exploration and connection.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! After the hike, get up close and personal with the farm animals, letting your dog take in the unique scents and sights of their barnyard neighbors. This is a great opportunity for positive exposure to new experiences in a safe and controlled environment.

Finally, we’ll gather around where the animals are, in their outdoor seating area to relax, and enjoy some great company. We will also have drinks and treats for all to enjoy.

Please note: A $5 donation/person is due to the farm for the amazing work they do. 100% of the event fee will be donated to Joppa Hill as well as any additional donation you would like to contribute. Thank you!

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2-3. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This could be a busy place depending on the weather. There are also several bridges over brooks. If your dog is nervous about bridges this is something to be aware of.  There are also some free range chickens on the farm that are used to dogs, but just a heads up if your dog has a high prey drive. We will be in closer quarters around the bonfire, but there is still plenty of room to spread out in the area where this will be hosted. You are always welcome to attend without your dog if they would feel uncomfortable in this environment. COST: Please register for this event below. You may also register other family members when you sign up who will be arriving in the same car with you.

Members, if you register and cannot attend, please cancel within 48 hours to avoid a cancellation fee of $25/person. This allows members on the waitlist to have a chance to go if you cannot. Thank you!

Joppa Hill Farm Educational Farm is located at 174 Joppa Hill Rd in Bedford, NH. Additional information will be included with your event reminder emailed within 24 hours prior to the event.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING AN EVENT:
Please review our Club Guidelines, sign our Liability Waivers & Release Forms, and read our covid guidelines on our Events & Activities page. Please note that retractable leashes as well as aversive training tools such as prong/pinch, choke, bark control, shock, and spray collars are not allowed at our events.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Those who have registered will also receive an email announcement.
