MEMBERS ONLY: First Day Hike @ SATWASR in Barrington

Kick off 2026 with wagging tails and happy trails! Members are invited to join us and your favorite two- and four-legged friends to ring in the New Year with fresh air, fun vibes, and a little adventure.

We’ll explore the beautiful Tibbetts Road Trail at the Samuel A. Tamposi Water Supply Reserve (SATWaSR) in Barrington, NH, trekking 3-4 miles of scenic pathways. Expect a winter wonderland with icy trails—so lace up your boots, strap on your YakTrax or ice cleats, and let’s create some frosty memories together.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. Dogs must be on leash at this trail. The trail is mostly wide but does get narrower in locations. There are places to step off if we meet an oncoming dog. Depending on the weather, this may be a busy trail on New Year’s Day. Please remember that you are also welcome to attend without your dog if you feel this would be an uncomfortable setting for them. TRAIL RATING:
The Tibbetts Road Trail is rated as Level 1.5 Moderate. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. Proper footwear is highly recommended since leaves cover the trails and roots/rocks may be hidden. There may also a few muddy areas. If snow/ice, we highly recommend YakTrax or ice cleats.

COST: Please register for this event below. You may also register other family members when you sign up who will be arriving in the same car with you.

If your plans change, we kindly ask that you cancel at least 48 hours in advance. This helps us offer your spot to another member on the waitlist and avoid a $25/person late-cancellation fee. We truly appreciate your help in making sure everyone has a chance to participate.

The Samuel A. Tamposi Water Supply Reserve is located at the end of Tibbetts Road in Barrington, NH. Additional details will be emailed 24 hours prior to the event.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Registered guests will also receive an email.
