OFFICIAL CLUB ADVENTURE: Discovering the Power of Scent Work
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Ready to tap into your dog’s natural talents and unlock a whole new level of confidence and connection?
Join us for a 75-minute, hands-on scent work experience that’s perfect for beginner, intermediate, and advanced teams. Led by professional trainer and June Featured Expert, Jake Belmont of Red Pointy Dog Training, this interactive adventure will be customized to match your dog’s individual skill level. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on existing skills, this rewarding, instinct-driven activity offers something for every dog and handler.
Held at the Golden Dog Playground in Barrington, NH, this event features multiple small-group sessions. Each dog will participate in a series of individualized searches with personalized coaching from Jake. You’ll learn the foundational skills of scent work—including the box game, building hunt drive, and introducing scent patterns—while gaining insight into how this sport boosts your dog’s mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
What You’ll Experience:
- Small group format for focused learning and minimal distractions (two sessions: 9:00 – 10:15am or 10:30 – 11:45am)
- Multiple search rounds with increasing difficulty for each dog
- Personalized instruction from a professional scent work trainer
- Techniques for building your dog’s confidence and drive
- A foundational understanding of how to introduce scent work at home
- Opportunities to ask questions and observe other dogs learning in real time
- Enrichment activities available at the Playground while waiting between sessions
- Quiet, controlled setting ideal for reactive or sensitive dogs
Who It’s For:
- New to scent work? Perfect—you’ll leave with clear next steps.
- Have a reactive, shy, or highly excitable dog? This format is built for you.
- Already exploring nose work? Jake will offer personalized challenges to keep your dog progressing.
This on-leash Official Club Adventure is more than a workshop—it’s a gateway into a fun, confidence-building sport that dogs love. Space is limited to keep the experience positive, focused, and enriching for all participants.
Let your dog’s nose lead the way.
