OFFICIAL CLUB ADVENTURE: A Mindful Walk With Your Dog

ABOUT THE EVENT:
For our next Official Club Adventure, we’re headed to DeMeritt Hill Farm with Jody Crotty, Soul Level Animal Communicator® and this month’s featured expert.

Did you know that mindful walking with your dog can help reduce anxiety and boredom while supporting the health and well-being of both you and your dog? Spending time together in nature gives you the opportunity to slow down, engage your senses, and deepen your connection with one another.

Join us for a 1.5-2 mile walking tour of dog-friendly DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH, as we learn about and experience The Elements of Mindful Walking with Your Dog.

Jody will guide us through ways mindful walking can help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension for both you and your beloved companion. Along the way, she’ll demonstrate how being fully present in nature can strengthen communication, trust, and connection with your dog.

You will learn how to:

• Use your “gut feeling,” or intuition, along with deep belly breathing to create a greater sense of calm.
• Strengthen the loving bond you share with your dog.
• Build deeper trust by allowing your dog opportunities to take the lead and explore.
• Reduce stress and anxiety by becoming more present and trusting in your relationship with your dog.

We’ll explore the farm’s nature trails and fields, and afterward you’ll have the opportunity to visit the farm store to purchase apples or explore the pumpkin patch.

To help everyone relax and spread out during the walk, we’ll use a conference line that participants can dial into from their mobile phones. Please bring earbuds, a headset, or another wireless listening device if you would like to hear Jody’s guidance while we walk.

Dogs are no longer permitted in the orchard itself, so our route will take us around the orchard, up the nature trails, and through the farm’s fields.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 1-2. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This event is great for reactive dogs since it is in a controlled environment with focused and relaxing activities and all dogs on leash. There will be lots of room for dogs to spread out and engage in the exercises and activities offered. TRAIL RATING:
This Trail is rated as Level 1-1.5 Stroll. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. The walk is approximately 1.5-2 miles on the nature trail and around the orchard and through a field. There will be a bit of an incline as we work our way up towards the orchard. 

COST: Please register for this event below. Limited to 15 people/dogs.

• Golden Dog Members – $25/person (Your special pricing will be reflected in the CART.)
• Not-Yet-Members – $40/person

For maximum happiness, 1 dog per handler is recommended. Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
This adventure takes place at DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH. Directions/logistics will be provided to participants in the confirmation sent via email 24 hours prior to the event.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING AN EVENT:

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and registered participants will receive a email cancellation notice. It will also be announced in the Event section of the Facebook Community Group and on this Calendar page.
