OFFICIAL CLUB ADVENTURE: Mindful Walking with Jody Crotty

ABOUT THE EVENT:
For our next Official Club Adventure, we are headed to DeMeritt Hill Farm with Jody Crotty, Soul Level Animal Communicator our featured expert for September.

Did you know Mindful Walking with your dog can reduce anxiety, boredom, and increase health and well-being for you and your dog. Being out in nature with your dog allows you to feel, see, hear and know more about each other through connection to all of your senses.

Join us for a 2-3 mile walking tour of dog-friendly DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH as we learn and experience The Elements of Mindful Walking with Your Dog.

Jody will lead us through how Mindful Walking with your dog can help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension for you and your beloved companion. She will demonstrate how being present in nature during your walk can bring a deeper connection for you and your dog.

You will learn how to:

• Use your “gut feeling” or intuition through deep belly breathing to feel calm with your dog.
• Enhance the infinite bond of love with your dog.
• Create a deeper connection of trust by allowing your dog to take the lead.
• Have less stress and anxiety by trusting in the relationship with your dog.

We will explore the farm’s nature trails and after, pick apples that should be in season, including Jonamac, Gala, Firestorm, Ambrosia, Macoun, and Hampshire Mac. The pumpkin patch should also be open.

To ensure everyone can relax and spread out throughout the orchard, we will use a conference line that participants will dial into on their mobile phones. Please bring a headset or wireless device if you would like to hear the program.

DeMeritt Hill Farm is hosting their Harvest Weekend starting at 11am so there will be all types of fun activities to engage in, after our event, if you are interested.

TRAIL RATING:

This trail is rated as Level 1-1.5 Stroll. The paths are wide and flat for most of the trail. There will be a section that is narrow with some inclines and rocky. Review our Trail Rating System for more info.

COST: Please register for this event below. Participants are welcome to bring up to 2 dogs/person.

• Members – $30/person (Your special pricing will be reflected in the CART)
• Non-Members – $45/person
• Does not include cost of apples

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

ABOUT JODY CROTTY:

Jody is a Certified Soul Level Animal Communicator® and author of, Do You Talk with Animals. She’s an active collaborator and member with the Animal Communication Collective™, supporting animal welfare organizations by giving a voice to the animals through online fundraising events.

Jody worked as a Pet Loss Professional at Pet Passages with Purdy Funeral Service. Her time was spent helping families with the grief and loss of their beloved pets, which allowed Jody to have a deeper connection with the animals. This fostered her understanding with pets and the messages they wanted to share.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and registered participants will receive a email cancellation notice. It will also be announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
