OFFICIAL CLUB ADVENTURE: The Dog in Front of You—From Understanding to Observation

ABOUT THE EVENT:
What if understanding your dog came down to what you can see—not what you’re told to do?

Join professional dog trainer Laura Gendron of Miss Behavior Training for a hands-on experience at the Golden Dog Playground, where we bring this month’s learning into real-life situations. This interactive session focuses on observing how dogs naturally move, explore, and interact—and what those behaviors reveal about their individual needs.

What to Expect

On-Leash Exploration
We’ll rotate through different environments using a simple observation guide to help you spot natural, innate behaviors—no cues, no commands, just real-life insight into what your dog is already showing you.

Group Discussion
We’ll regroup to share observations, highlight patterns, and connect what you’re seeing back to your own dog.

Off-Leash / Controlled Play (last 15 minutes)
For appropriate dogs, we’ll observe social interaction in action—looking at play styles, communication, and how dogs engage and disengage. Laura will provide real-time insights to help you better understand what you’re seeing. If you have a dog that would be uncomfortable with free play, there will be a chance to safely exit the Playground before free play begins.

You’ll leave with:

  • Greater confidence reading your dog in real time
  • A clearer understanding of your dog’s individual needs
  • Less comparison and more clarity
  • A deeper awareness that behavior is communication, not just obedience

This session is ideal for anyone who wants to better understand their dog in real-world environments and feel more confident navigating everyday life together.
