OFFICIAL CLUB ADVENTURE: The Five Domains Adventure Lab—A Hands-On Welfare Walkthrough (with Your Dog)
ABOUT THE EVENT:
This in-person Official Club Adventure is led by Helen St. Pierre, owner and founder of No Monkey Business Dog Training in Concord, NH, and a licensed Family Dog Mediator. Building on modern welfare science and the Five Domains framework, this experience moves beyond traditional “training” to help you better understand what your dog’s behavior may be communicating about their overall wellbeing.
This event takes place at the No Monkey Business Dog Training located in Concord, NH with access to an outdoor area, allowing for a calm, flexible setup that supports learning, movement, and decompression.
This Adventure is
- A hands-on, welfare-focused learning experience, not a training class
- An opportunity to look at your dog’s daily life through the Five Domains of Welfare
- A guided, supportive environment to identify what’s working well—and what may be missing
The Five Domains we’ll explore
Participants will rotate through interactive stations representing each domain:
- Nutrition – beyond “what” your dog eats, into how food supports fulfillment
- Physical Environment – how space, novelty, and predictability impact stress and comfort
- Health & Fitness – movement needs that go beyond leash walks
- Behavior Interactions – social needs, autonomy, and friction points
- Mental State – stress signals, recovery, and what true calm looks like
Each station includes simple exercises, real-world examples, and take-home tools you can apply immediately.
How the event is structured
- Format: In-person, hands-on stations + guided coaching
- Dogs will work in small, structured rotation groups (about 5 at a time)
- Built-in decompression time using both indoor and outdoor spaces
- Designed to feel calm, supportive, and safe for dogs and humans alike
This adventure is a great fit if
- You feel stuck focusing only on training and want the bigger picture
- Your dog is stressed, reactive, shut down, or “fine but not thriving”
- You want practical, realistic changes that support wellbeing—not just behavior
You’ll leave with a clearer snapshot of your dog’s welfare across all five domains, a better understanding of where hidden stress may be building, and insight into which factors in daily life are most influencing behavior and emotional resilience. You’ll also walk away with a short list of high-impact, realistic changes you can begin making right away, along with a deeper understanding of what wellness truly looks like at both ends of the leash.
