SPECIAL ADVENTURE: Canine Snozelen in Nature
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join us for this special adventure, lead by Monica Allaire-McMahon, certified, professional trainer, and owner of Barrington Barks & Behavior, which focuses on exploration of a multisensory environment. Dogs will have the opportunity to investigate dog safe plantings, open grassy areas, a small wooded trail, splash pools, tents, tunnels, a variety of textures underfoot, and the unique odors of nature.
This 90 minute, on-leash event, with the use of a harness and long line, will provide dogs as much freedom of movement as possible, while still giving space to other participants. Monica will be offering mini parallel walking sessions, and leash skill exercises for interested participants. There will also be splash pools available for fun water play.
Participants are encouraged to bring a snack for themselves and their dog, and a camp chair or blanket.
Participants will:
- Experience the relaxation and social aspect of a multisensory environment;
- Experience the joy of slowing down with their dog;
- Learn new skills they can apply at home.
