OFFICIAL CLUB WALK: Hiking Safety During Hunting Season with Inspire K-9s
ABOUT THE EVENT:
This Official Club Walk will be led by Megan and Ben Arey of Inspire K-9s Training Facility located in Center Barnstead, NH.
September 1st marks the beginning of hunting season in New Hampshire with deer season starting on the 15th. Because of this, the NH Dog Walking Club is partnering with our expert members at Inspire K-9s Training Facility for hiking safety during hunting season, including:
- Safety equipment for you and your dog
- What to do if you see/meet a hunter while hiking
- Trail etiquette during hunting season
- Liability issues/problems that can occur
- Recall drills with your dog to ensure their safety
- and more!
In addition, Megan and Ben will demonstrate retrieving skills for dog owners who may be interested in this activity with their dog. After taking a hike around the property, participants will engage in this 45-60 minute activity, expand upon what they have learned and ask questions.
Please bring orange safety vests for you and your dog for this event.
Participants will receive an entry towards our September giveaways (must sign in), which will be drawn on October 1st.
If you attend 6 Official Club Walks in 2021, you will earn a themed Club t-shirt.
The trails at Inspire K-9s Training Facility are rated as Level 1.5, easy, some gradual inclines and narrower trails.
