ONLINE EVENT: Champagne Vet Care on a Real-World Budget
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Veterinary care has changed—dramatically. Diagnostic tools are more advanced, treatment options are broader, and costs have risen alongside the standard of care. For many dog guardians, that can feel overwhelming, confusing, or even guilt-inducing.
This month’s Ask the Vet session is designed to cut through the noise.
Join Dr. Lisa Boyer, owner of Animal Health Consultants, for a candid, empowering conversation about how to provide excellent care for your dog without feeling pressured into “all or nothing” decisions. This session focuses on understanding where your money actually goes in veterinary care, what’s essential, what’s optional, and how to make informed choices that align with both your dog’s needs and your real-world budget.
This is not about cutting corners. It’s about understanding your options.
What we’ll cover:
- Where most pet healthcare dollars are actually spent—and why
- How modern veterinary medicine has evolved (and what that means for cost)
- Preventative care: what truly matters and where flexibility exists
- Vaccines, wellness visits, and lab work—how to prioritize wisely
- Pet food facts vs. marketing myths (and how to feed well on any budget)
- Supplements: which are helpful, which are unnecessary, and which may be a waste of money
- When emergency care is necessary—and when it’s not
- The concept of “spectrum of care”: understanding gold standard vs. reasonable alternatives
- How cooperative care and stress-reduction can lower long-term vet costs
Throughout the session, Dr. Boyer will share real-world examples from clinical practice, explain how veterinarians think through treatment recommendations, and answer questions you may have been afraid to ask.
Why this matters:
Many dog owners assume that if they can’t afford the most expensive option, they’re failing their dog. That simply isn’t true. In most cases, veterinary medicine offers multiple paths to good outcomes, and understanding those options gives you back confidence, agency, and peace of mind.
You’ll leave this session better equipped to:
- Advocate for your dog during vet visits
- Ask informed questions without feeling intimidated
- Make decisions rooted in knowledge—not fear or guilt
- Care for your dog in a way that’s sustainable for the long term
COST: Please register for this online event below.
