ONLINE EVENT: The Hidden Impact of Stress on Your Body with Gina Decker
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Even when you’re trying to eat well and stay consistent, your energy can still feel unpredictable — one minute fine, the next exhausted, craving, or running on empty.
As stress builds, it doesn’t just affect your mindset — it impacts your body’s ability to regulate hunger, energy, and mood. Blood sugar swings, increased cravings, and energy crashes often follow, creating a cycle that feels frustrating and hard to manage.
This interactive Zoom session focuses on understanding how stress, cortisol, and blood sugar work together — and how to support your body through practical, sustainable nutrition and daily habits. Nutrition remains the anchor because how you fuel directly impacts how you feel, think, and function throughout the day.
Our guest expert for this month’s discussion is Gina Decker, Registered Dietitian and owner of Decker Dietetics LLC, based in Bedford, NH. Gina specializes in translating evidence-based nutrition into realistic, sustainable strategies, with a focus on women’s health, chronic disease prevention, and individualized care that moves beyond quick fixes. Her approach emphasizes long-term change and meeting each individual where they are.
This 90-minute guided discussion creates space for meaningful conversation and practical application. Guests are encouraged to participate through guided prompts and live Q&A to gain the greatest benefit — leaving with actionable tools, clearer insight into how stress is impacting their body, and supportive connection with others navigating similar challenges.
What we’ll cover:
- How stress and cortisol influence hunger, cravings, and energy
- The connection between blood sugar swings and mood, fatigue, and focus
- Why cravings increase under stress — and how to respond without restriction
- The role of meal timing and balanced nutrition in regulating energy
- How caffeine can support or disrupt stress and energy levels
