ONLINE EVENT: Reactive Dog Support Group (April)

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Do you have a reactive dog and want to better understand their unique needs while connecting with a supportive community? Our Reactive Dog Support Group meets online the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 8:30pm ET, March through November, in our Zoom Room.

This group is a safe space to learn, share, and grow alongside other reactive dog guardians. You’ll gain insights into your dog’s behavior, discuss real-life challenges and successes, and hear inspiring stories from fellow participants.

Each 90-minute session includes:

✅ Open discussion where members can share struggles and wins
✅ Expert-led guidance and training resources
✅ Monthly themes and suggested pre-session activities to reinforce learning
✅ Special guest appearances throughout the year

April Theme: Building Trust & Confidence – Strengthening the Dog-Handler Bond
April’s focus is on creating a strong foundation of trust and confidence between you and your reactive dog. As spring blossoms and outdoor activities increase, it’s essential to ensure your dog feels secure and confident, especially in new or more stimulating environments.

Pre-Session Suggested Activities
To get the most out of this session, participants are encouraged to:

• How To Build Confidence in a Fearful Dog – This article offers practical tips for helping insecure or fearful dogs gain confidence, including engaging in activities that promote problem-solving and providing consistent positive reinforcement.
• Positively Dog Training – In this podcast, renowned dog trainer Victoria Stilwell discusses the benefits of positive reinforcement training methods and provides insights into building a strong, trust-based relationship with your dog.

This group is limited to 15 participants to ensure a welcoming and engaging environment. If you love a reactive dog, you’re not alone—join us for learning, support, and progress!
