PACK ADVENTURE: Date Night With the Dog – Apples, Pumpkins, and Cider Social

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Crisp air, colorful leaves, and the joy of picking apples with your pup—fall is the perfect time to slow down, get outside, and make memories together. Add in pumpkins, cider, and great company, and you’ve got the makings of a tail-wagging good time! Our weekday Pack Adventures are designed for smaller groups, offering plenty of space for dogs who enjoy a calmer setting on the trail.

This two-for-one adventure lets you bring your partner, friend, or family member at no extra cost—because good times are even better when shared. Whether you’re planning a date night, a family outing, or simply some special time with your dog, this event is all about celebrating the season together.

We’ll kick things off with a 2-mile walk at DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH. Together, we’ll wander the nature trails up to the apple orchards where you can pick crisp apples straight from the trees. The pumpkin patch will also be open, making it easy to grab the perfect pumpkin to bring home.

After the farm fun, we’ll hop in our cars for a short 5-mile drive to North Country Hard Cider in Dover, NH, where we’ll gather on their dog-friendly outdoor deck. Relax with friends, sip seasonal favorites like Cranbarrel, Hop Shire, Banango Crush, or Squashed (a fall classic), and soak in the autumn atmosphere. You’re welcome to bring your own food—pizza, subs, or a picnic supper—and we’ll keep an eye out to see if a food truck will be on-site that evening.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 1.5-2 (apple orchard) 2-3 (Cidery). See our Comfort Chart for explanation. The apple orchard should be quiet during the week and hopefully, we will not see many people. It the weather is really nice, it may be busier than usual. The trail is wide with plenty of area to move over or step off if needed. North Country Hard Cider also has a large deck with room to spread out. We do not know how busy their deck will be on a Thursday evening. Dogs are also allowed inside the building. TRAIL RATING:
The Trail is rated as Level 1.5 Stroll. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. The trail is a slight incline as we make our way up to the orchards.

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Guests will also receive an email announcement.
