PACK ADVENTURE: Hike, Swim & Ice Cream @ Little Harbor

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Pack Adventures are hiking events that happen during the week. They attract a smaller number of people which is perfect for dogs that need some additional space in a group. To welcome the start of summer this month, our Pack Adventures will involve water play as well as a hike in nature. And if available, a stop for a sweet treat after.

Join us for an afternoon hike at the beautiful Little Harbor Loop Trail in Portsmouth. This is a 1.5 mile moderately trafficked loop with views of the coast and the forest. The trail will also take us out to an overlook area where we will enjoy the views. Since low tide is at 1:51pm, we will take the opportunity to swim in Sagamore Creek. A long lead and water shoes are recommended.

We will wrap up our event with a stop for a sweet treat at the Ice House in Rye.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
These trails are usually not very busy during the week. They are mostly wide and flat allowing lots of space for dogs who need it. There is also additional room to pull off the trail in many areas and allow other dogs and their handlers to pass. The Ice House has a wide open outside area with picnic tables spread out for private seating. If you need to cancel your registration, please email cancel@goldendognh.com. A full refund will be issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
The Little Harbor Trail is located at 400 Little Harbor Road, Portsmouth, NH. Watch for the small sign for the trail and a larger sign that says Creek Farm Reservation. Your GPS may try to take you past the entrance. Once you turn at the Creek Farm Reservation sign, drive almost to the end where you will see an open area and large parking lot. There is also a porta potty at this location.

The Ice House is located at 112 Wentworth Rd, Rye, NH. They have a grassy area out back with picnic tables.
