PACK ADVENTURE: Hike, Swim & Social at Keay Brook

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Our weekday Pack Adventures are designed for smaller groups, making them ideal for dogs who appreciate a little extra space when socializing on the trail.

Join us for a relaxed 1.3-mile Pack Adventure through Keay Brook Preserve, combining movement, enrichment, exploration, and social connection at both ends of the leash.

As we hike, we’ll look for opportunities to turn nature into a playground with natural parkour stations where dogs can practice stepping up, balancing, navigating different surfaces, and building confidence at their own pace.

Midway through our adventure, we’ll stop for a swim in the Salmon Falls River, giving dogs a chance to cool off, explore, and enjoy the surroundings before continuing our hike.

Afterward, we’ll head to Corner Point Brewing Company in Berwick for dinner and drinks on their dog-friendly patio overlooking the River.

Adventure highlights include:

• 1.3-mile easy-paced hike
• Natural canine parkour and confidence-building opportunities
• Sniffing, exploring, and practicing calm movement with the pack
• Mid-hike swimming opportunity
• Post-adventure dinner and drinks at Corner Point Brewing Company
• Plenty of time for connection with your dog and the Golden Dog community

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2-3. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. It is possible we may encounter off-leash dogs. They are allowed on this trail if under voice command. Please be aware that this could be a possibility. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.

COST: Tickets are limited to 8 people. Scroll down to purchase.

• Golden Dog Members – $25/person (Your special pricing will be reflected in the CART.)
• Non-members – $35/person
• Food and drink at Corner Point Brewing Company is extra.
• Purchase a 10-walk punch card and get this event at a discount (good for Pack Adventures, and Pop Up Adventures)

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
The trailhead parking lot for Keay Brook Preserve is located at 251 Hubbard Rd. in Berwick, ME. Additional details will be emailed 24 hours prior to the adventure.

Corner Point Brewing Company is located at 1 Rochester Street in Berwick, ME.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Participants who have registered will also receive a cancellation announcement via email.
