PACK ADVENTURE: Start Your Day at Piscassic Greenway

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Pack Adventures are hiking events that happen during the week. They attract a smaller group of people which is perfect for dogs that need some additional space in a group.

Start your day with a hike to reconnect yourself and your dog with nature and like-minded people looking for some exercise and fresh air.

For this adventure, we will explore the beautiful trails at Piscassic Greenway in Newfields, another S.E.L.T. property. We will walk between 3-4 miles starting at Gate 5 off Bald Hill Road in Newfields, to the Byrne Trail and wildlife viewing area, and back. Please note that we will be crossing a large bridge over water.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
The trails here are mostly wider and would be appropriate for reactive dogs. This is a quiet area during the week and we should not see many other people. There is room on most of the trail to pull over and let people pass if needed. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.

TRAIL RATING:
Piscassic Greenway is rated as Level 1.5 Moderate. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. Proper footwear is highly recommended since leaves cover the trails and roots/rocks may be hidden. There are also a few muddy areas. See trail map.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Please park in the small lot at Gate 5 located across from the house at 57 Bald Hill Road in Newfields, NH. If the lot is full, there is parking on the road. See trail map for Gate 5 location.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING AN EVENT:

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
