PACK ADVENTURE: Thanksgiving Day What Are You Thankful For Walk

**This event is currently only available to official club members and their families. **

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Pack Adventures are hiking events that happen during the week. They attract a smaller group of people which is perfect for dogs that need some additional space in a group. This event takes place Thanksgiving Day morning to offer an opportunity to get some exercise and stimulation for you and your dog before the big turkey celebration and potential chaos that sometimes comes with the day.

For this adventure, we will explore the beautiful trails at Piscassic Greenway in Newfields, another S.E.L.T. property. We will walk just under 3 miles starting at Gate 5 off Bald Hill Road in Newfields, to the Byrne Trail and wildlife viewing area, and back.

Participants are encouraged to write one thing they are thankful for when they check-in. These thoughts will be collected and circulated randomly to participants for sharing at the peaceful wildlife viewing area.

In addition, participants will receive an entry towards our November giveaways (must sign in), which will be drawn on December 1st.

TRAIL RATING:
Level 1.5, hike is just under 3 miles roundtrip with a 178 ft. elevation gain. Trail is mostly flat with a few boardwalks and some inclines. See trail map. Proper footwear is highly recommended since leaves cover the trails and roots/rocks may be hidden. There are also a few muddy areas.

COST: Must preregister for this event.

• Non-members – $7/person*
• Purchase a 10-walk punch card for $60 (good for Pack Adventures, Doggy Socials (w/o an expert) Official Club Walks, and Pop Up Walks)

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Please park in the small lot at Gate 5 located across from the house at 57 Bald Hill Road in Newfields, NH. If the lot is full, there is parking on the road. See trail map for Gate 5 location.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
