PACK ADVENTURE: Walk & Social at Kittery Point Shore Trail and Beach
ABOUT THE EVENT:
Pack Adventures are hiking events that happen during the week. They attract a smaller group of people which is perfect for dogs that need some additional space in a group.
Fort Foster & Kittery Point Shore Trail is a 2.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Kittery, Maine that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
There is a dog beach to the right of the pier where participants can let their recall trained dogs off leash for play in the off season. You can also use a long lead to give your dog freedom to run and swim. High tide is at 3:09 pm.
TRAIL RATING:
The Kittery Point Shore Trail is rated as Level 1-1.5. The trail is flat but sometimes narrow through the woods. May be wet, muddy, and require crossing short bridges constructed from boards. The ocean trail is a wide, flat, gravel path.
