POP UP ADVENTURE: Blessing of the Animals
ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of walks that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.
Every October, several area churches offer a Blessing of the Animals. To make this a truly unique experience, we will attend this ceremony at Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH at the St. Francis Chapel. Please note that the church has precautions in place to keep dogs safe and distanced from each other.
Join Adventure Guides Traci and Ray for a fun event as we hike the trails and explore the sanctuary grounds prior to the ceremony. We will plan to hike 2-3 miles, enjoy a picnic, and then attend the ceremony in the chapel starting at 2:00pm.
Please bring a lunch (no glass bottles) for yourself and your dog as well as ample water. We suggest bringing a picnic blanket to sit on as well.
Cathedral of the Pines trails are rated as Level 1-1.5 Moderate. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. Since we have not hiked this location before, we are not sure if the trails provide extra room for dogs that need additional space. If you would like to attend this event, and have questions, please contact us to discuss.
