POP UP ADVENTURE: Coffee and Lunch on the Beach

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of walks that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.

What would be better than another beach stroll and visit to a coffee café for lunch and hot java with our dogs?

Join us for another fun adventure as we visit Salisbury Beach in Massachusetts for a walk along the beach looking for seashells and watching the dogs play and relax. After, we will hang out at Groundswell Surf Café’s outside, dog-friendly sitting area right on the beach, for lunch and a hot drink!

The café offers everything from breakfast and lunch sandwiches to açaí bowls, smoothies, locally produced coffee, and more. You can also choose from fall favorites like pumpkin spice chai latte, harvest bowls or homemade pumpkin bread.

Be sure to bring a long lead and allow your dog to explore the beach. This is a leashed event only. After the event ends, participants are welcome to let their dogs off leash on the beach.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
This a long beach and mostly wide depending on the tides. We will be here between low and high tide and will have lots of beach to spread out on. Therefore, the walking portion of this adventure is appropriate for reactive dogs. There is lots of room to spread out for the lunch portion of this event and give dogs additional space. Even though the café allows dogs, a team member can help hold your dog while you go in to order if needed. COST: Tickets are limited to 25 people. Scroll down to purchase (does not include price of food).

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Groundswell Surf Café is located at 25 Broadway, Salisbury, MA. Parking is free for Groundswell customers at Blue Ocean Event Center next door, as long as they have available spaces. Otherwise there’s metered parking on the street or in the municipal lot. It’s about $2/hour. We will plan to meet participants at the café.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
