POP UP ADVENTURE: Dogs on the Marginal Way

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This Adventure is part of a series that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives our dog loving community the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.

Join us for a fun outing on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine now that dogs are allowed on the trail. This 2.4 mile out and back trail is a popular coastal walk along the rocky shores. We will stop at the beach for the dogs to play on long lead, stretch their legs, and swim if warm enough.

After, we will take a short drive down to dog-friendly Odd by Nature Brewing for lunch and to sample some seasonal “odd concoctions” such as Snowbirds Fly North, Pacific Bloom Sangria, and Mamba Mentality.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
We are unsure how popular this trail is in October now that dogs are allowed. If it is a beautiful day, we anticipate there will be dogs and people out walking. The path is wide with a few areas to step off if approached by another dog and their person. Otherwise, you would be stepping into rose bushes. If you feel your dog may be uncomfortable with a visit to the brewery, you are welcome to participate without your dog or just join us for the walk and beach portion of this adventure. CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
