POP UP ADVENTURE: Happy Birthday Celebration

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of walks that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.

Join us for a 3-3.5 mile walking tour of Benson Park in Hudson, NH to celebrate Dakota’s, Gilly’s, and the newest member of our family, Comet’s birthday.

We will start off on the Haselton Farm Trail, which has an elevation gain of around 252 ft., and goes around the perimeter of the park. This is a quieter trail and we may not encounter many other dogs. Then, we will make our way through the old animal park and down to the pond.

Want to join the celebration but don’t want to walk that far? No worries, we will have trail maps for everyone and you can hop off the trail and circle back to the parking lot at anytime.

Every dog who participates will receive a colorful spring/summer bandanna, and a yummy treat. One lucky canine will also win a Happy Birthday Fun Box packed with treats and toys!

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
The trail will be narrow in places, but should be quieter than other trails in the park. There will also be areas to step off trail in case another dog approaches. We feel this would be a good area to bring your reactive dog if they are OK walking in a wooded/enclosed setting. The trail opens up once we get into the old animal park and down to the pond. The animal park and pond area could be busy with dogs if the weather is nice. Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Participants will also receive a cancellation email.
