POP UP ADVENTURE: Hike and Swim at Tucker & French Family Forest with Erica Marino

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join Golden Dog for a hike and swim with Local Adventure Guide* Erica Marino of Evolve Fitness with Erica, LLC. She will lead us on a special summer hike at one of her all-time favorite trails — Tucker & French Family Forest in Kingston, NH.

This 3.5–4 mile guided hike will highlight some of the forest’s most scenic and enriching features, including:

• Natural parkour-style play over rocks, stumps, and benches
• A picturesque waterfall and a seasonal pond perfect for cooling off
• Wide, sightline-friendly trails with ample places to step off for space and safety

Erica knows this area inside and out and will lead us on a thoughtfully paced hike that offers both fitness and fun for you and your dog. This outing is ideal for dogs who are social with space or reactive dogs needing structure. Dogs must remain on-leash.

After the hike, we’ll head just a few miles down the road to Memories Ice Cream — a dog-friendly destination with picnic tables and plenty of space to spread out.

*The Local Adventure Guide Program is a new initiative by Golden Dog Adventure Co. that partners with trusted community members to lead dog-friendly walks and experiences in their local area. These guides are dog professionals or passionate pet guardians who know their trails inside and out and are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and enriching experiences for dogs of all temperaments. The program allows participants to explore new locations with confidence while supporting small businesses and building stronger local connections.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 2-2.5. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. Tucker & French Family Forest offers a mix of wide trails and narrower sections, with good sightlines and plenty of spots to step off and create distance when needed. While we may encounter other trail users, the property spans over 600 acres and tends to feel spacious and quiet, even when the small parking lot appears full. Erica knows these trails well and will guide us accordingly to ensure the comfort of all dogs and people joining us. MEET YOUR GUIDE: ERICA MARINO
Hi, I’m Erica Marino, and my pups Pepper and Tilly have been proud members of the Golden Dog Community since 2022! We love exploring the outdoors together and have made so many lasting memories on these adventures.

By day, I work in my family’s business, and part-time I run my own personal training company, Evolve Fitness with Erica, LLC. I’ve been leading group fitness classes for over 12 years and am passionate about helping people build strength, grow confidence, and achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and empowering environment.

I’m excited to share one of our favorite local spots with you — the Tucker & French Family Forest SELT trails. My girls and I visit these trails weekly for fresh air, exercise, and a little adventure.

Looking forward to meeting more like-minded dog lovers out on the trail!

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Participants will also receive a cancellation email.
