POP UP ADVENTURE: Small Group Hike & Picnic in Brookline

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of small group adventures that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.

Adventure up into the beautiful Andres Institute of Art in Brookline, NH with Adventure Guide Marie Rouleau who will show you some of her favorite sculptures as you ascend Potanipo Hill which has an elevation gain of 377 ft. and is a rugged climb. Artwork large and small from artists around the world have been gathered and placed throughout this countryside, allowing both hiking and art appreciation in one silent trek. It is truly a magnificent site to see.

Marie will hike 2.5 – 3 miles roundtrip as she takes participants up the Potanipo Hill Southway Trail Loop and throughout the park. Take your dogs picture with some of the most interesting artwork you will ever see. This trail has steep uphill climbs, sturdy footwear is highly recommended.

Please bring a lunch for you and your dog (no glass bottles) to enjoy at the top of the hill. Take in the beautiful scenery as you look out over what was once a ski area.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
These trails are usually not very busy. They are wide and flat allowing lots of space for dogs who need it. There is also additional room to pull off the trail in many areas and allow other dogs and their handlers to pass. Lone Oak has picnic tables and areas to spread out at their dog friendly seating area.
