POP UP ADVENTURE: Small Group Hike & Swim in Franklin

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of small group adventures that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.

Adventure up to Franklin, NH to see the 1740 ft. wide and 140 ft. tall Franklin Falls Dam. Adventure Guide Alyssa LaFoe will show you why she loves this area as she takes you on a hike around the dam where you can take pictures and then up through the woods and to the field for long lead play,

Alyssa will hike 3-4 miles roundtrip and finally stop at a secret swimming spot on the Pemigewasset River not well known in this area.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
These trails can get busy. They are wide and flat allowing lots of space for dogs who need it. There is also additional room to pull off the trail in many areas and allow other dogs and their handlers to pass. Please be aware that there is a Disc golf course here and people may be playing frisbee. The course goes all through the woods. Also, the trail is shared with mountain bikers. Franklin Falls Dam is located in Franklin, NH. The address and directions will be emailed to participants 24 hours prior to the adventure.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
