POP UP ADVENTURE: St. Paw-trick’s Day Celebration

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Get ready to celebrate St. Paw-trick’s Day with a festive stroll, great company, and a little post-walk fun—plus a chance to win a special surprise!

Throw on your best green gear (and if your pup enjoys dressing up, they can join in too!) and meet us for a scenic urban walk along the Dover Community Rail Trail. We’ll follow the paved path from the Transportation Center to Fisher Street and back, covering about 1.5 miles with views of the Cochecho and Bellamy Rivers. Along the way, we’ll wander through neighborhoods and cross a few streets, soaking in the fresh air and good company.

After our walk, we’ll head to Auspicious Brew to unwind with some delicious kombucha tastings. If kombucha isn’t your thing, don’t worry—they have a full menu of other drinks. And if all that walking works up an appetite, you can order something delicious from their menu and have it delivered right to the outdoor seating area.

To top it all off, one lucky winner will take home a St. Patrick’s Day fun package! Join us for a relaxed, social outing filled with fresh air, great conversation, and a little Irish luck!

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 3-4. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This trail passes through an urban setting. Your dog must be comfortable with city noise, traffic, and other people/dogs walking in the opposite direction. The trail is plenty wide for walkers/dogs to easily pass on opposite sides. There is one long bridge that must be passed at the beginning of the trail. If your dog is comfortable in an urban environment, then they will be comfortable here. TRAIL RATING:
The Dover Rail Trail is rated as Level 1 Stroll. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System. The trail is flat, wide and paved, and passes through an urban setting.

Full refund issued if cancellation received 48 hours prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Parking is at the Dover Transportation Center (train station) at 33 Chestnut Street, Dover. Drive to the very back left corner of the parking lot to find the Rotary Trailhead and our car. All the details will be emailed 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page. Participants will also receive a cancellation email.
