POP UP ADVENTURE: Walk & Picnic @ Fort Foster & Kittery Point Shore Trail
ABOUT THE EVENT:
This walk is part of a series of walks that “pop up” on the calendar throughout the year. It gives members the opportunity to get out more and enjoy fresh air and friends.
Fort Foster & Kittery Point Shore Trail is a 2.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Kittery, Maine that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
There is a dog beach to the right of the pier where participants can let their recall trained dogs off leash for play. You can also use a long lead to give your dog freedom to run and swim.
During the walk, we will stop for a picnic. There is a grassy field with picnic tables. Please bring lunch and a drink for yourself and your dog(s). No glass bottles. Carry in/out only. We will supply dessert for all participants (human and canine)!
The Kittery Point Shore Trail is rated as Level 1-1.5. The trail is flat but sometimes narrow through the woods. May be wet, muddy, and require crossing short bridges constructed from boards. The ocean trail is a wide, flat, gravel path.
Tickets are limited to 25 people. Scroll down to purchase.
