SOCIAL: Mutts & Mead at Over the Moon Farmstead

ABOUT THE EVENT:
For this adventure, we are headed back to Over the Moon Farmstead in Pittsfield, NH for a hike and social. Friday marks the first day of the 40th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rally which is sponsored by Over the Moon Farmstead. After a leisurely 1-2 mile walk exploring the old farm roads and trails, we will sit at an outside space set up for us with visual barriers (hay bales and barrels) for dogs who need additional space. We will congregate near their deck for an opportunity to watch the balloons launch from Drake Field*.

You will have the opportunity to sample mead which is honey wine – honey and water fermented by yeast, which can also be flavored with fruits, spices, grains and/or hops. It’s in its own distinct category, somewhere between beer and wine. You sip it like a beer, wine, or cider.

Mead and draft sampling available in flights or by the glass; Amish cheese and cracker plates also available. Koda’s Grill food truck will also be at the Farm for this event.

*PLEASE NOTE: The Hot Air Balloon Rally coordinator could not guarantee that we will see the balloons from this location since this is the first Rally since Over the Moon Farmstead came to town.

CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on this Calendar page.
