SPECIAL ADVENTURE: Dog-Friendly Paw-rate Cruise on the Al Gauron

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Ahoy, mateys! Grab your eye patches, strap on your pup’s pirate bandana, and join us as we hoist the anchor for a Golden Dog-exclusive cruise that’s part adventure, part costume party, and all tail-wagging fun.

In celebration of International Pirate Month, we’re throwing a swashbuckling Pirate Costume Contest for both humans and their salty sea dogs.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Costumed Human and also the Best Dressed Dog — first, second, and third place for each category. (NOTE: please do not make your dog wear a costume if they are not comfortable with this.)

Our panel of judges? None other than the spirited crew of the Northern Star and your trusty Golden Dog Adventure Guides.

The Cruise Details
Step aboard the Northern Star, Al Gauron’s largest and most spacious 90-foot vessel, for a private 2-hour voyage along the scenic Merrimack River and harbor.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
Reactive Dog Level 4. See our Comfort Chart for explanation. This would not be a comfortable environment for a dog who does not like being around people or dogs or has not experienced a boat ride before. We will be spread out on the boat but there will be a lot going on that your dog may react to. You are more than welcome to attend without your dog if you would like. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.

COST: Please register for this event below. Please no more than 1 dog/person for maximum comfort.

• Golden Dog Members – $40/person (Your special pricing will be reflected in the CART.)
• Not-Yet-Members – $55/person (Join the membership for $15/month and enjoy this event at the member rate as well as a month of benefits!)
• **NOTE: $5 cash parking fee will be due day of event to park at the state-run parking lot.**

Full refund issued if cancellation received 2 weeks prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. 

DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Directions and parking information will be provided to participants 24 hours prior to the event.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING AN EVENT:
Please review our Club Guidelines, sign our Liability Waivers & Release Forms, and read our covid guidelines on our Adventures page. Please note that retractable leashes as well as aversive training tools such as prong/pinch, choke, bark control, shock, and spray collars are not allowed at our events.

CANCELLATIONS:
If the Captain determines that weather conditions are unfavorable for cruising, the trip will be rescheduled to August 17th. If you are unable to attend on the new date, you will have the option to receive a credit toward another adventure or a refund to your credit card. In the event of a reschedule, you will be notified by email.
