SPECIAL EVENT: 3rd Annual Corn Maze & Halloween Pawty

**TICKETS ON SALE FOR MEMBERS STARTING 9/22; COMMUNITY & GENERAL PUBLIC 9/29**

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Join us for our 3rd Annual Corn Maze & Halloween Pawty at Beech Hill Farm in Hopkinton, NH on Sunday, October 22nd from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Rain date October 29th.

We have rented the farm for the first two hours before they open to the public. Participants have access to all parts of the farm, including a 1-mile nature trail and 2 corn mazes. In addition, you can visit with the farm animals, shop for mums, pumpkins, and other items, and visit the ice cream barn.

You and your dog can compete in our costume contest and win some cold, hard cash. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will be chosen for the best dog/handler team costumes. If you are going to make your dog dress up then you have to dress up too if you want a chance to win!

AGENDA:
In addition, your dog can take advantage of all these fun activities happening at our Corn Maze & Halloween Pawty (subject to change):

• Meet Adoptable Dogs – Our friends from Mary’s Dogs will be joining us with cute, adorable, furry faces to love upon. Stop by and learn about the work this rescue does, fill out an adoption application or consider being a foster.
• Try Agility Equipment – Introduce your dog to a fun new exercise or reinforce their learning with certified professional dog trainers Ashley Clark and Kristine Thurston, from You and Your Dog Training & Services, who will be joining us with agility equipment.
• Experience Canine Fitness – Certified canine fitness trainer April Begosh, with Canine Strong, will be joining us for demonstrations on her fitness equipment for dogs. Learn about the importance of good canine strength training and try out the equipment.
• Get a Custom Illustration of Your Dog – Visit with illustrator Angie Hur and for an additional $15, receive a beautiful, custom illustration of your pup. After, stop by the Golden Dog booth to create a personalized frame make and take for your new picture.
• Meet Sandra McCarthy Photography – Stop by to meet Sandra and view her amazing photographs of dogs.
• Check out Happiness 4 Dogs – Meet Melanie and learn about all the different therapeutic treatments she offers for dogs.
• Compete in the Peanut Butter Licking Contest – There will be contests running throughout the event. Stop by to sign up your dog to participate. Top dogs in each heat will compete in the PB lickoff at the end of the event. Will your dog win the coveted PB king/queen title?
• Enjoy a Boo Pup Cup or Pumpkin Latte – Stop by the Golden Dog booth for a tasty treat for your dog. Additional dog treat is $5. Yummies for humans available at an additional charge.
• Hike the Rhododendron Nature Trail – Beech Hill Farm’s one-mile Rhododendron Nature Trail passes by one of the northernmost stands of Giant Rhododendron in NH. This is a self-guided trail.
• Visit with Friendly Farm Animals – Beech Hill Farm is home to a wonderful assortment of farm animals, including calves, piglets, lambs, baby goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and more!
• Explore the Corn Mazes – The farm has two, self-guided corn mazes again this year and the themes are “RAINFOREST JUMBLE” and “AMAZING U.S. JEOPARDY”.
• Compete for Cash in our Best Team Costume Contest – 1st place – $75, 2nd place – $50, and 3rd place $25…and of course, bragging rights.

TRAIL RATING:
The nature trail and corn mazes are Level 1-1.5, mostly flat, narrow in places. See an explanation of our Trail Rating System.

COST: Must preregister for this event.

• Members: includes all activities + 1 personalized frame make & take and 1 Boo Pup Cup or Pumpkin Latte per dog, additional dog treat can be purchased for $5 each. Chance to compete in the costume contest and peanut butter licking contest.

  • Children age 3 and under are free and do not need a ticket
• Non-members: includes all activities + 1 personalized frame make & take and 1 Boo Pup Cup or Pumpkin Latte per dog, additional dog treat can be purchased for $5 each. Chance to compete in the costume contest and peanut butter licking contest.

  • $10/additional human
  • Children age 3 and under are free and do not need a ticket

Full refund issued if cancellation received 1 week (7 days) prior to event start time, otherwise no refund if canceled after. If weather makes holding this event unsafe, the rain date is Sunday, October 29th.
