SPECIAL EVENT: Dog Parkour @ the Barrington Town Forest II
ABOUT THE EVENT:
The first event sold out in less than 24 hours, so Red Pointy Dog has graciously decided to offer a 2nd event in the afternoon.
Join us for a 1.3 mile walk at the Barrington Town Forest with Jake Belmont of Red Pointy Dog Training. This easy loop trail includes many natural and manmade elements that can be used for Dog Parkour. This event is limited to 1 dog/person please for maximum happiness.
Through Dog Parkour, dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles. Depending on the weather, we will include several exercises and stretches for dogs on our walk.
Dog Parkour instills confidence and strengthens the human-canine bond. Dogs who participate in parkour oftentimes gain confidence and learn how to better and more safely move their bodies when active. This activity also helps dogs to create a unique bond with their people while enjoying more time outside.
At this event, you will learn to view the world around you differently as opportunities to work with your dog open up everywhere. You will learn a dog’s basic movements, how to train them, and
most importantly how to keep your dog safe.
- Learn the basics of K9 Parkour
- Learn how to train basic behaviors
- Watch their dog’s confidence grow as they interact with the world around them
- Learn fun ways to keep their dog fit and healthy
- Learn best ways to keep their dog safe
- Discover how to get more out of their daily walks
