
SPECIAL EVENT: Walk, Swim & Lunch @ Heads Pond & Roots Cafe, Hooksett, NH
ABOUT THE EVENT:
[RESCHEDULED FROM JULY 3RD DUE TO RAIN] Celebrate the Independence Day holiday with us later in July for a walk, swim and lunch after at a nearby café.
Heads Pond Trail is a 2-3 mile out and back, flat and wide, packed gravel trail frequented by bicyclists and dog walkers. The trail has scenic views of Lakin’s Pond and Head’s Pond with several opportunities for the dogs to swim.
The first 25 dogs will receive a celebratory bandanna to mark the holiday as well as a treat bag from our friends at Good Paws Bakery.
In addition, participants will receive an entry towards our July giveaways (must sign in), which will be drawn on August 2nd.
TRAIL RATING:
Level 1 – 2-3 mile easy walk with wide trails, elevation gain of 104 feet.
COST:
Admission is payable at the event.
$7/person for non-members (payable at event)
N/C for members
DIRECTIONS/PARKING:
Parking is on Route 3/28 just north of Green’s Marine in Hooksett, NH. Roots Café at Robie’s General Store is located at 9 Riverside St. in Hooksett.
CANCELLATIONS:
If weather or covid conditions make gathering and walking unsafe, the event will be cancelled and announced in the Event section of the Facebook Group and on the Discussion page.
