SPECIAL EVENT: Winter Bird Walk

**THIS EVENT WAS RESCHEDULED FROM 12/3 TO 1/21 DUE TO WEATHER**

ABOUT THE EVENT:
With the holidays now a distant memory and the promising energy of spring months away, many of us, including our pups, may be feeling the mid-winter blahs. What should be a time of rest has become a time of restlessness. An invigorating and fun nature walk might be just what is needed!

Join us for a winter birding adventure to identify birds through sounds and behaviors at the Riverwalk in Hooksett, NH. This approximately 1.5 mile walk will be led by Kelly Dwyer, naturalist, award-winning environmental educator, and owner of Nature Education Opportunities.

Along the way, we will delve into:

  • Fascinating winter adaptations birds undergo to survive our winters
  • Tips for identifying our backyard birds and the migrants wintering in NH
  • Strategies for successful winter bird feeding

Pack your binoculars and let nature charge up your energy for a few hours.

A special chew treat will be provided as stimulation for dogs during this adventure. If your dog has allergies or chewing limitations, please alert us at woof@goldendognh.com.

IS THIS EVENT GOOD FOR REACTIVE DOGS?
This trail is flat and mostly wide with areas to pull off if another dog approaches. However, due to the stop and start nature of this adventure, your dog may become uncomfortable with other dogs gathered in an area together. Please consider this when deciding whether or not to bring your dog. You are welcome to attend without your dog as well. If you have concerns or questions about if this event is right for your dog, please email woof@goldendognh.com for assistance.
